Direct Tax Assistant Manager
Job description (critical purpose)
You are responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Partnership's direct tax returns and affairs through regular monitoring and implementation of robust and sustainable tax controls. You provide relevant advice to the business on new and developing initiatives in the business. You support other members of the tax team, in particular the Direct Tax Manager, with tax compliance and advisory work.

Quality & Compliance
Prepare the corporation tax computations for UK group companies.
Submit direct tax returns. Prepare quarterly corporation tax payment calculations. Prepare forecast cash tax and effective tax rate
Assist the Direct Tax Manager with the half year/year end statutory reporting process. Prepare and submit the annual PAYE Settlement
Agreement and other employment tax related returns (excludingpayroll). Respond in a timely and constructive manner to ad-hoc queries from the business.
Prepare guidance and training on Corporation Tax as and when required to relevant departments. Assist the Tax Managers and Tax Lead on other work as and when required.
Embrace a culture of continuous improvement, proactively looking for ways to advance the quality and efficiency of processes and reporting in relation to direct tax matters.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with Finance colleagues in other Finance teams and other business units.
Maintain good working relationships with external tax advisers and HMRC.
Spot and drive connections between the function and other areas of the organisation by working in consistent ways and creating a collaborative culture with an aligned purpose and outcomes.
