Part-Time Family Support Adviser - 3 days per week with some homeworking

The Diplomatic Service Families Association (DSFA) is the family support service for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). 

The Family Support Adviser plays a key role in supporting partners and families of Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office employees with concerns that arise while in the UK or overseas.  The candidate will work closely with the Diplomatic Service Families Association (DSFA) team to provide one to one support, advice and information.

The Family Support Adviser will also be required to support Community Liaison Officers (CLOs) who are employed in embassies across the world, and liaise with relevant FCDO departments to raise concerns and to keep updated on FCDO developments. Opportunities will also arise to identity common themes and to be creative in finding ways of providing support.

The role is part-time, 3 days per week and there is scope for flexible working arrangements including: flexible hours, hybrid working, compressed hours. Normal working hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm A significant proportion of time must be within core UK working hours (10.00 am to 4.00pm).

Salary: £34,000 (plus £5,000 London Allowance) FTE. Actual £20,436 actual salary (plus £3,000 London Allowance)
