Workday Integration Specialist – location can be remote based (home based)
A Workday Integration Specialist is required to work within the Global HR Tech Workday integration team which manages a portfolio of around 400 integrations in and out of GSK’s Global Workday HCM system. These integrations use a variety of Workday tools including Connectors, Studio, XSLT, APIs, Report Writer and Workday Extend.
The person will report to the Workday Integration Product Owner and will provide a variety of Workday integration support including troubleshooting and resolving BAU issues, as well as building and testing integration enhancements. The candidate will need to consult with customers to confirm requirements and manage implementation timelines. There will also be project work that requires the development, testing and cutover of new Workday Integration solutions.
The successful candidate will have over 18 months’ Workday experience in supporting and developing Workday integrations using varied technologies, ideally with in-depth knowledge of Workday Extend apps. They will be familiar with Agile ways of working and managing a backlog of items in their specialist area.
The role holder will possess sound business acumen and will be familiar with HR and Payroll business processes. The role holder will also have demonstrable technical knowledge and understanding and the ability to operate throughout the change and delivery lifecycle designing, building, and testing solutions.
- Expert knowledge and experience of Workday’s integration tool set including Connectors, Studio, XSLT, APIs, Report Writer and Workday Extend.
- Experience of application management, operations, and/or support including knowledge and experience of Incident, Problem and Change Management.
- Familiar with Agile ways of working and implementation.
- Experience of working in a project environment and delivering simple to high complexity integration solutions.
- A broad knowledge of Workday HCM.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, sufficient to build and maintain customer trust and engagement.
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills and the ability to analyse complex data sets.
- Knowledge of HR systems, data and processes.
- Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions.
- Able to manage and prioritise a competing workload and manage conflicting priorities and requirements.
