HR Manager - 2-Year FTC - Central Oxford - Salary ??41,000 to ??50,000 - Ref: 21203
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our client as an Academic HR Manager. You will contribute at a senior level on developing and implementing HR policies and procedures and delivering HR services. You will also be responsible for the coordination of recruitment procedures, and support College Officers and the Academic Registrar with HR guidance, managing recruitment processes, project work and research.
Reporting to the Senior Censor, you will work closely with the Academic Registrar, Academic Services Manager and Admissions and Access Manager.
Working on your own initiative is key, being able to manage competing demands and pressures. You will have well-developed judgement and the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information with tact and discretion.
This is the perfect role for somebody looking to move into a senior manager role and take on more responsibility.
HR Manager Responsibilities
As the HR Manager some of your duties will include:
Developing and reviewing the HR policies
Managing HR project work
Coordinating recruitment processes
Managing onboarding processes
Responding to personnel and HR queries
Analysing and reporting on recruitment data
HR Manager Experience
The HR Manager will have previous experience working within an educational establishment, with either a HR or policy/academic administration background. As the HR Manager, you will be a flexible and organised individual, who can work collaboratively with a range of staff members. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. It is essential the HR Manager has a good understanding of employment law, best practice and GDPR.

The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. There is some flexibility around start and finish time.
The role will be predominately office-based but there may potentially be some hybrid working once settled into the role at the discretion of the Senior Censor.
