Our client is seeking an experienced Business Tax Manager (Transactions Advisor) for their busy award winning Tax team based in Cumnor (Oxford) team. They can offer an excellent environment in which to grow and advance your career.

This role requires an experienced Tax professional and would suit an experienced Tax Manager our a well-established senior looking for their next step up.

As a Tax Manager you will need demonstrable experience in transactions tax, including due diligence and M&A tax advisory. Your clients will range from owner managed businesses, through private equity funds to international corporate groups across a range of different industries. This offers a rewarding and challenging environment for transaction tax and advisory work, working with both purchasers and selling management teams. What's more as most of our projects are heavily UK-based there is a real opportunity to get stuck into the tax work on every project with limited time spent on project coordination.

The role:

You will join a successful team with experience advising on group reorganisations, MBOs, acquisitions and disposals, due diligence, international tax planning, share schemes, EIS and complex enquiry cases.

It is envisaged that your role will predominantly focus on providing tax advisory support to our clients. You will be a key member of the tax team working in partnership with our corporate finance team in delivering tax due diligence work. You will also manage a small portfolio of corporate clients, most of which will have recently transacted or will be planning towards an exit in the short to medium term.

The person:

ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA qualified with the ability to demonstrate strong corporate tax technical skills, particularly with transactions tax experience;
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels;
A team player - having the ability to work with the tax team, the corporate finance team and other members of the firm;What our client can offer

Flexible working arrangements are commonplace - home office location would ideally be Reading or Oxford where you will be expected to spend some time each week (although there may be an opportunity to work from the Newbury or Southampton office if preferred).
