Accounts & Payroll Assistant

Part Time - 15 hours, Hybrid

??23,400 -27,300 Pro Rata

We are currently recruiting an Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join this friendly and busy office based in Harrogate. You will be offered flexible working hours and hybrid working once fully trained. This role may suit someone who is looking to work around school hours. The hourly rate would be ??12-14ph dependant upon experience.

The main purpose of this Accounts & Payroll Assistant role is to support the Finance Manager, assist with processing income and expenditure invoices and to process and oversee multiple payrolls. You will also be responsible for assisting with the preparation of management reports.

Responsibilities:

Processing income and expenditure invoices
Checking statements
Liaising with suppliers and clients
Point of contact for all finance queries
Assisting with audits
Preparing and producing monthly reports
To process and oversee multiple payrolls
Plus other general finance admin to support the Finance Manager

Requirements:

Fully or part qualified AAT or equivalent
Experience using Sage Payroll and Xero
Good communication skills
A good head for numbers and attention to detail
Eligible to work in the UK
Hold your own driving licence
Available to interview in the next 7 days

As Accounts & Payroll Assistant you will report directly to the Finance Manager. Initially this role is office based but then will offer hybrid working with flexible hours. You will work around 15 hours per week, over 3 days. This position would suit someone who is AAT fully or part qualified who has worked as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Payroll Assistant. You will have a good understanding of bookkeeping and both the sales ledger and purchase ledger processes.

The successful candidate will be required to have a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.
