The role

As a Global Talent Manager, you will work with HR Directors, Centre of Excellence Partners, Business Leaders and HR Business Partners to conceptualise, design and deliver against our talent strategies. Every day can be different in this role as you engage in work that drives significant impact on our business in a very dynamic operating environment. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and implement an effective and efficient talent review approach globally
  • Develop and deploy global talent frameworks, processes and systems
  • Conduct market research and talent analytics to identify current and future talent needs and distill those insights into strategies and action plans for Diageo
  • Lead specific talent and career management programmes
  • Partner with HR teams to ensure robust and ready pipeline of internal talent for our most critical roles
  • Partner with external providers to select, develop and deploy talent assessment tools, approach and methodologies
  • Coach internal partners on talent processes and tools

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in talent management gained in a variety of roles across HRBP, Talent Manager and L&D roles with proven ability to shape, design and deliver exemplary talent strategies in a market and/or global role. Skills and behaviours we are looking for include:

  • Strong internal and external radar on emerging talent trends and can decipher and clearly frame the issues and opportunities for Diageo
  • Can shape and evolve core talent processes with simplicity, discipline, and rigour
  • Has strong talent judgements informed by broader implications, and judges how processes are linked and interconnected
  • Can clearly articulate talent strategies and plans through excellent communication skills
  • Adept at interpreting and bringing together different data sources (both qualitative and quantitative) and use them in combination to derive insights and recommendations
  • Able to engage, manage and influence multiple diverse stakeholders across levels
  • Driven and can orchestrate across a matrix of global functions and market
