Diageo is recruiting for a Global Consumer Tech Products Manager, who will be responsible for assessing of the external landscape looking for the latest technology tools, partners and solutions that we can embed in our own digital sites and propositions as well as screening relevant supporting products, validate/negotiate & manage global agreements & licensing, lead approval process, support technical integration of products into white label global product (DDP) & The Bar, manage the integration of the product information management system (PIM) and embed/ train global teams to drive usage and understanding.

Additional responsibilities will include matching the product functionality roadmap to capability providers who will accelerate our ambition to unlock and build the most robust digital product platform in the industry as well as work with global markets to understand how this role can support their efforts on the D2C journey as well as inform potential enhancements to integrate into the global product build backlog.

Market Complexity: Role is global in nature as will the landscape of solutions sought. Position will work with some individual markets on tailored solutions for their platform(s)

Leadership Responsibilities: This role is an individual contributor role without direct reports. It will require influencing team members & championing the consumer’s point of view internally.

Purpose of Role: Enable the ambition of the tech platform to be as relevant to consumers with features, functionality & capabilities to accelerate Diageo’s digital transformation journey.

Key Accountabilities: Understanding of the tech landscape in order to bring forward relevant solution providers to help achieve the goals of the Diageo Digital Product (DDP). Insure the providers have met the requirements to do business with Diageo & are aligned with D&T, procurement & other stakeholder’s guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience Required

Consumer first, digital native mentality. Ability to recommend & guide technological solutions that can create sites consumers love & want to dwell on. Outside of the box thinking & able to integrate best practices from other industries into our digital solution.

Strong relationship building and alignment skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with marketing directors, innovation teams, global brand teams, procurement, digital & technology to deliver transformational growth for brands. Managing complexity. Track record of balancing multiple priorities, complex brand architecture and projects, and a range of business issues within ambiguous context and matrixed organisation.

Strong drive, delivery and determination. Proven ability to think strategically and drive long-term business growth across a complex and broad portfolio. University degree preferred. Strong preference given to candidates with experience in the SaaS industry, product management experience, digital marketing and/or consumer tech product industries.
