Large & Complex
Large & Complex Audit will include listed companies (corporate and financial services) their subsidiaries in the UK and internationally, as well as other public interest entities such as banks, insurers, large private companies and public sector organisations, public sector organisations and charities.
You can expect senior level exposure and variety. You will work with some of the most influential companies in the UK and internationally, offering expert insights across the whole business.

In the Financial Services audit team in South West England, we work with a wide range of businesses, from listed insurers, lenders, investment managers and many more.
We are looking to expand our team of focused, aspirational, and collaborative Financial Services practitioners, and as such we are offering the opportunity to join as an Assistant Manager in our Financial Services Audit and Assurance Group to support this challenging and rapidly expanding business.
As an Assistant Manager with our Financial Services Large & Complex team you’ll:
- Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
- Supervise engagements offering mentorship and coaching to junior team members and manage the day-to-day client relationships
- Drive continuous improvement in audit methodology and develop new ways of working through innovation and transformation
- Continue to develop your understanding of your chosen financial services markets and clients and be ready to bring that to other assurance engagements
- Support development of our practice, potentially through facilitation of internal training courses or staff development

Location: You’ll be based in either our Bristol, Cardiff or Reading office with some domestic travel for client-based projects.

Your professional experience
- Hold a relevant accounting qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA or overseas equivalent)
- Experienced Auditor ideally with FS and FTSE listed clients experience
- Knowledge of IFRS, external auditing techniques, using data analytics and other IT assisted audit techniques
- Firm understanding of ethics, independence and client data security
- Strong interpersonal skills including oral/written communication, good team management and ability to build client relationships
- Highly motivated approach, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging work environment
