24/7 Operations Analyst Apprentice - Halifax, Open to flexibility

Within the Chief Information Office, Service Operations and Enterprise Infrastructure Team we ensure that the IT Production Service is available to our customers at point of need 24 hours a day , 365 days a year and ensure that we patch, maintain and operate our Data Centres, Tech Rooms and On Premise Technology stacks to ensure continuous availability and security of our customers data and services.

As an Operations Analyst Apprentice you will be accountable for the day to day operations within the bank's core 24/7 Operations located in Copley. This will involve performing day to day operations on at least 1 platform - whilst developing skills/building knowledge to an advance level. Using your excellent communication skills you will contribute to the delivery of 24x7 systems and services including Event/Alert management, scheduling and support of functional activities.

As your knowledge and experience grows you will contribute to our continuous improvement environment, striving for perfection and effectiveness, optimising everything we do with Service in mind.

Right from the start, we'll give you full training and all the support you need during your 2 year Apprenticeship. During this time you will be given all the coaching and development you need to achieve your competency through on the job training, classroom and on line training whilst you learn. We will help you to obtain a full understanding of our operational policies and procedures, plus give you an awareness of regulatory practices and constraints. You don't need previous experience of finance or banking, however a basic understanding of Service Delivery methodology, including ITIL, would be preferable.

You will be required to work 12 hour shifts following a defined shift rota 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Both night working and weekend working is required as part of this role.
