Your role

  • Work closely with stakeholders in our Consulting business to create new ventures, offerings and businesses, typically powered by technology,
  • Formulate hypotheses about the best course of action at each stage of venture development, gathering data and information from a wide variety of sources to develop insights that address:
  • Desirability: is there demand for the solution, is it scalable across multiple clients
  • Feasibility: collaborating with technical teams to understand the feasibility of the proposed venture and the resources required to develop it
  • Viability: is there a solid business case that makes sense for Deloitte. and validate these by gathering data and information from a wide variety of sources
  • Assemble the commercial case for the venture and pitch for funding from budget holders
  • Shape the business models required to deliver on our strategic objectives
  • Drive the establishment of those business models, structures, and governance to set up new ventures for success
  • Support the UK import of ventures from across the Global Network, from evaluating the market to business model creation
  • Test market response through workshops, interviews, and prototypes
  • Refine and shape the product concept in line with lean start-up principles

Location: London with occasional domestic and international travel

Work pattern: This is a full-time, permanent contract opportunity.

Your professional experience

  • Professional Services experience in the private sector, public sector, or financial services
  • Experience and/or demonstrable interest in corporate innovation and/or in the start-up ecosystem and/or in a commercial product role
  • Problem solver – Able to solve ambiguous problems, in a structured and logical way
  • Commercial acumen – an understanding of B2B commercial drivers and business cases
  • Tenacity – self-motivated to own and solve complex business challenges
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – able to manage internal and/or external stakeholders

Essential

  • Comfortable with modelling a variety of business models in excel

Desirable

  • Holds or is training for a financial qualification such as CFA, ACA, CIMA etc.
