LEAP is three years into the delivery of the Big Lottery’s 10 year “ A Better Start “ programme which aims to improve the life chances of babies and very young children by delivering a significant increase in the use of preventative approaches in pregnancy and the first three years of life. By drawing on the best evidence for interventions in diet and nutrition, social and emotional development and communication and language LEAP is working across the whole early year’s sector in Lambeth. We are developing a portfolio of early intervention programmes for pregnant women, babies and children 0-3 to ensure that every baby and child has a better start in life.
In this busy role you will be helping to deliver an effective communications and marketing strategy. Through a multi-media platform you will promote and raise the profile of the Lambeth Early Action Partnership (LEAP), its interventions and projects, developing the social media presence and promoting a calendar of events.
You will work closely with external partners, media professionals and the local community, ensuring parent participation.
It is essential therefore that you can demonstrate your experience of communications strategies and campaigns within the voluntary or public sector.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and networking skills are also key in order to build and maintain partnerships and engage local communities.
