Our client is a PE backed, established and fully remote organisation within the Corporate Hospitality sector. They are looking for a experienced and numerate Finance Assistant to join their team. Reporting to the Finance Controller you will be fully immersed in the companies finance function and be part of a small but friendly team who are passionate about the service they provide.

Core responsibilities are:

Accounts Receivable & Credit Control

  • Ensure that All Sales Invoices are Raised by Reservations in Time for Month End
  • Raise Credit Notes as Requested by Reservations Team

Credit Control

  • Manage Customer Relationships to Ensure All Customers Remit Funds by the Due Date
  • Maintain Customer Contact Details in Xero

Accounts Payable

  • Ensure All Supplier & Provider Invoices Received Have Accurate Information
  • Input of All Invoices Into Xero & Approval of Invoices via ApprovalMax
  • Close Liason with Reservations to Ensure that Provider Invoices are Correct
  • Calculation of Commissions
  • Matching of Provider Invoices to Sales Invoices
  • Preparation of Payments List
  • Management the accounts email and all supplier emails and queries

Credit Control

  • Ensure All Customers Remit Funds by the Due Date
  • Maintain Customer Contact Details in Xero

Credit Card Reconciliation

  • Ensure All Expenditure is Accompanied by Invoices/Receipts
  • Ensure the Credit Card Expenditure is Reconciled Monthly

Bank Reconciliation

  • Ensure All Funds In and Out are Allocated Correctly to Customers, Suppliers & Providers
  • Ensure All Outstanding Items Are Cleared

EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL QUALITIES

  • 3-4 Years Experience in working as a Finance Assistant, in a growing business
  • Experienced in using Xero and related integration packages such as SalesForce, Stripe & ApprovalMax
  • Experience of working in a multi currency environment
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Ability to improve processes under guidance and introduce efficiencies while maintaining accuracy
  • Proactive and organised with attention to detail
  • Experience of Working in the Travel Industry, Agency or Commission Based Income
  • Experience in, and desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances/priorities
  • Desire to work in a 'family' type environment and be comfortable with working remotely

Flexibility: 3 day a week, fully remote
