Your opportunity

The Design Analysts are highly collaborative, creative and customer-facing focusing on the early phases of the I&S Innovation lifecycle to turn Ideas into Prototype and then MVP. They work closely with our Risk Advisory internal customers, Portfolio Leads, Design Researchers as well as the agile delivery teams to ensure that the products and solutions provided meet the needs of the end-users and the Product Owner’s priorities.

Your role

As a Design Analyst within the Innovation & Solutions team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead or participate in business model definition, ideation and validation activities, including workshops and prototyping activities
  • Drive build-measure-learn approach and lead hypothesis definition and experiment design to gather data in the quickest and easiest way to qualify assumptions and assess client interest
  • Work alongside the Design Researcher and Idea Owner to gain a deep understanding of user goals, pain points and needs 
  • Translate business/user needs into requirements in the form of epics, and the ability to articulate these needs clearly to stakeholder groups at various levels of seniority
  • Works closely with the Business Analyst to transfer knowledge of user insights and the business context and supports them to translate epics into user stories
  • Works closely with the Solution Architect and leverages user knowledge and understanding of business context to influence the solution design
  • Inputs into the product strategy and roadmap as required by the Product Manager 
  • Collaborates with colleagues across the agile delivery lifecycle including Architecture, Development, Test, and Operations to provide continuity from prototype to MVP 
  • Must be an articulate communicator comfortable challenging or defending ideas, educating teams on methodology, and presenting to high-level stakeholders
  • Highly collaborative, a warm and engaging manner, empathetic with a thirst for knowledge and a desire for continuous learning
  • Great work ethic and good time management

Your professional experience

  • Experience of working within an Innovation team, digital start-up or design agency 
  • Demonstrable experience of using Design Thinking to shape and mature digital proposition
  • Background in business analysis highly desirable as is experience of working in an agile environment
