Financial Crime Investigator Apprentice - Birmingham, Open to flexibility

Operating from the UK and Offshore, Global Payments is made up of five business units which together support the specific demands of the business. Our UK locations include Birmingham, Edinburgh, Gillingham, Glasgow, London & Manchester.

As a Financial Crime Investigator Apprentice you will use your analytical skills to investigate and make decisions on the outcome of Finance Crime alerts. These alerts must be correctly recorded with concise and informative comments, they must also have a 'Regulator Ready' Rationale documented so your excellent attention to detail will be paramount.

As your knowledge and experience grows you will working collaboratively to contribute to the ongoing development of our Team TMU through the Continuous Improvement process and contribute to the ongoing development of the system and Business Logic Rules by feedback on their outcomes. It will also be important that you develop and maintain a risk awareness to ensure risk issues and opportunities are recognised and reported.

Right from the start, we'll give you full training and all the support you need during your 2 year Apprenticeship with a full Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00pm Induction programme. This will be followed by a further on the job training where you will be supported whilst you learn. During this time you will be given all the coaching and development you need to achieve your competency. We will help you to obtain a full understanding of regulatory and internal money laundering guidelines, our operational policies and procedures plus give you an awareness of regulatory practices and constraints.

Although our office hours are 7am to 7pm initially, whilst training you would be required to work 9am to 5pm. However once trained we are open to discussions around flexible working to facilitate a working arrangement suitable to both you and the business.
