EURO 2020 Operations Lead, Open to flexible working

London has been selected as one of the 12 host cities for the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship (EURO 2020), with Wembley Stadium as the host venue.

Wembley will stage three Group Stage fixtures, one Round of 16 match, both Semi-Finals and the tournament Final.

The bid was a collaborative effort involving the Mayor of London, The FA and HM Government. Delivery of the event will be coordinated by a multi-agency Local Organising Structure (LOS).

With direction and oversight provided by the LOS, the Greater London Authority (GLA) is responsible for delivering a variety of tournament related activities, including fan areas, city-dressing and community engagement programmes. In partnership with relevant city agencies, the GLA is also responsible for coordinating the city’s policing and transport plans for the tournament.

The GLA is seeking to recruit an experienced project manager to work with colleagues and stakeholders to coordinate delivery of the operational aspects of the city’s obligations to UEFA for EURO 2020, including comprehensive transport and policing plans, fit for purpose Fan Zone sites, and a large-scale volunteering programme.

Candidates are required to demonstrate a track record of working on high profile projects, as well as experience of working operationally, and coordinating several workstreams and/or projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will be required to monitor, track progress and report against key objectives and ensure an integrated approach to project planning and delivery.
