Your role

As a Senior Manager in our Healthcare and Life Sciences (HLS) Risk Analytics team, you will:

 

  • Be familiar with the trends, challenges and opportunities for analytics in the healthcare and/or life sciences sector.
  • Provide our clients with the information and insight they need to take the best decisions, improve their performance and minimise risk by leading data and analytics projects.
  • Manage a concurrent portfolio of risk analytics projects and programmes ranging from advisory to technical assignments.
  • Develop and maintain long lasting relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Help to grow the healthcare and life sciences risk analytics practice.

 

Your key responsibilities will be: 

  • Deliver a portfolio of large and complex analytics engagements.
  • Provide risk analytics and data governance services.
  • Identify and lead sales opportunities at existing and prospective clients.
  • Assist and progress existing sales opportunities as a member of a client account team.
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of services and/or analytics within client workshops and similar seminars.
  • Support the identification and development of client bids as well as the presentation of proposals.
  • Build and develop long term relationships with senior stakeholders across our client organisations.
  • Take responsibility for financial management on engagements and client deliverables.
  • Contribute to Deloitte’s thought leadership in Risk Analytics.
  • Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Location: Your office will be based in London, but most of your time will be spent on client sites.

Your professional experience

  • Healthcare and Life Sciences sector knowledge as well as an understanding of the key risks, trends, pressures, regulations and opportunities. This could be gained from, but not necessarily limited to, roles in academia, professional services or industry.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex data and analytics projects.
  • Proven ability to sell services into large and complex organisations.
  • Strong planning, organisation and people management skills.
  • Experience delivering business projects that relate to one or more of the following areas:
    • Data Strategy
    • Data Architecture
    • Data Governance
    • Master Data Management
    • Big Data
    • Visualisation
    • Analytical Modelling
    • Artificial Intelligence
    • Robotics 
  • Data analytics experience. Familiarity and competency with some of the key tools used in information management and data analytics. For example:
    • Data Analytics tools (e.g. SQL)
    • Visualization tools (e.g. Qlikview, Tableau)
    • Data science (e.g. R, Python, SAS)
  • Cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud Platform) 
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and business writing skills including being able to liaise with both technical and business contacts.
  • Demonstrated experience building and developing the capability of a team to deliver on strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing client relationships.

Additional desirable experience

  • A wide-ranging professional network within the UK healthcare and life sciences sector.
  • A degree in a relevant subject (For example Business, Medicine, Mathematics or Data Science).
  • Professional services experience an advantage.
  • Project management training and/or qualifications are desirable.
  • Experience in designing and implementing a strategy to grow an analytics business.
  • Understanding of, and experience with, the development of data and/or analytics solutions beyond the proof of concept stage into industrial-strength products.
