Senior Lawyer, Investments & Wealth, Open to flexibility

Lloyds Banking Group is changing. We're motivated by a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper. Across the Group, our colleagues are passionate about making a difference to customers, businesses and communities. As the pace of change accelerates, you can be part of our exciting future where together we'll embrace creative, agile & simple ways of working, making a difference to the ever-changing needs of colleagues, customers & our business.

As a UK qualified lawyer with extensive recent experience in investments, you will develop, lead and manage a small specialist team delivering high quality legal advice and support to the investments business areas of LBG Insurance & Wealth. You will work with senior management and executives across Insurance & Wealth with responsibility for all legal aspects of investments, including life and pensions funds, collective investment schemes and loan investments.

To promote the interests of customers and the business, you will need to be prepared to challenge, advise and influence senior management and executives on legal issues associated with investments.

The work is varied and will include drafting insurance product policy documents, OEIC scheme documents and marketing literature, advising on fund structures and their underlying investments including derivatives, commercial loans and securitisations, the administration of financial products, the impact of regulatory requirements on investments, general commercial contract law, insurance law, OEIC and fund regulation in general.

This is a challenging role that will bring you into contact with a diverse and complex group of regulated life and OEIC legal entities, together with their supporting holding and service structure.

It will give you an opportunity to work for some of the leading brands in UK financial services including Scottish Widows, Lloyds Bank and Halifax.

You will report to the Head of Legal, Investments & Wealth and will have responsibility for at least one direct report. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to positively influence others by demonstrating core LBG values and behaviours and, where appropriate, manage, develop and motivate colleagues to support a high performing team.

As a new colleague, you'll join us on our journey to build a 21st century bank that reflects modern Britain, and craft an inclusive culture where all colleagues feel welcomed and valued.

Together we make it possible.
