Head of CH Global Manufacturing Sites / EU CH Sites Procurement, Open to flexibility

What is the purpose of this role?

The Head of CH Global & EU Sites/ EU CH Sites Procurement has an annual spend accountability of ~GBP375m Directs, ~GBP50m Manufacturing Indirects, ~GBP100-150m Logistics and ~GBP50-60m Capex.

The Head of CH Global & EU Sites/ EU CH Sites Procurement is responsible for leadership of the Procurement teams on all CH Global & EU sites for manufacturing-related categories of spend (Directs & Indirects). The Head of CH Global & EU Sites/ EU CH Sites Procurement is accountable for the quality, service/ supply risk and cost of all materials and services procured for the sites.

The Head of CH Global & EU Sites/ EU CH Sites Procurement is the business partner to the CH Global & EU SC Vice President and is required to manage and influence many senior stakeholders enterprise-wide.

The geographic scope of the role is global with an organisation of staff based at up to ~7 GSK Consumer manufacturing sites in Europe and US.

What are the key responsibilities in this role?

  • Accountable for the quality, service/ supply risk and cost of all materials and services for the CH Global & EU manufacturing sites.
  • Accountable for creating and implementing Procurement strategies and initiatives which improve quality and service/ supply risk and deliver cost savings for the Global & European Consumer business.
  • Accountable for business partnering with the CH Global & EU SC Vice President. The role holder is required to manage and influence many senior stakeholders enterprise-wide.
  • Accountable for ensuring that the key requirements of Procurement of each Regional/ Value Stream SC are built into the relevant Category Procurement strategies and delivered.
  • Accountable for ensuring that the key requirements of the Regional/ Value Stream SCs and Sites of each of the relevant Category Procurement strategies are delivered.
  • Accountable for attracting, developing and retaining a strong talent base.
  • Accountable for ensuring ideation with the SCs and Sites of new value creation projects (innovation, savings, quality, service/ supply risk) and for partnering with them for optimal OTIF delivery. Accountable for involving suppliers in this as appropriate.
  • Accountable for some Regional/ local buying and owning sourcing strategy development and implementation and vendor relationship management for this portfolio.
  • Accountable for ensuring compliance with Procurement and other relevant policies, procedures and guidelines.
