Each year Greenhouse Sports needs to raise £3.4m of private funding to sustain the work we do with 7,000 young people from disadvantaged communities.  A significant portion of this funding comes through corporate partnerships and philanthropists and a key requirement of this role is to raise the profile of Greenhouse Sports with prospective funders.  In the next three years we also want to develop our digital fundraising capability to highlight the charity’s work with young people.

Greenhouse Sports is seeking a dynamic and passionate Marketing and Communications manager to drive an ambitious strategy to raise the profile of this exciting charity.

The ideal candidate will be a very strong project manager who can work with freelance and other agencies to deliver on ambitious targets to raise the profile of Greenhouse Sports and to reach new funder audiences.  They will have the technical and creative skills to develop social media content and/or be confident in making strong relationships with broadcasters and senior national journalists as well as managing a group of celebrity ambassadors and patrons.

The successful candidate will have project management and budget management experience, excellent communication and copywriting skills and they will be a self-starter.  They will have experience in digital marketing and driving social media engagement and/or in PR.

Experience of generating income through digital channels is desirable.  A passion for our mission is essential.

The role requires multi-skills and an ability to juggle workloads, work fast and meet deadlines. The successful candidate will also liaise with our network of professional coaches to help them market and deliver their coaching programmes and work with the Director of Development (DOD) and the CEO to develop and implement an internal communications strategy to nurture our culture and keep our remote workforce informed of key information.  He or she will need to be a team player who can work across the whole charity to deliver objectives.
