About the role

As a Site Assurance Officer within our hardworking team at Leven you’ll play a pivotal role in the effective management and protection of all company assets across the Leven site operation, thus preventing any unauthorized access to site and to prevent acts of theft, arson, vandalism and product contamination.

You’ll maintain security standards through the implementation of departmental operating procedures and work instructions.

You’ll lead on ensuring site security by conducting random searches, scheduled patrols and act as a superuser on CCTV and CCure access control systems.

Be responsible for fire drills including alarm tests and site evacuation.

Be responsible for the training and supervision of Security Officers and will coordinate first aid as the need arises.

You’ll manage contractors and carry out site inductions and update site-specific rules for contractors and visitors as required.

You'll apply customs and excise scheme of control including conducting random checks and performing site audits.

Responsible for supervising Health & Safety and Security arrangements during foot patrols and undertake building inspections outside normal working hours (to check for leaks and security breaches and ensure Health & Safety compliance).

Health and safety compliance is key and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside other Key Performance Indicators and targets including security, environmental and HMRC requirements.

About you

You’ll be able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. You’ll have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills!

You'll be working alongside both internal and external partners as a first point of contact in order to achieve individual and shared outcomes.

You’ll have or be willing to work towards a valid First Aid qualification.

Please note that due to the nature of this role candidates must be of the age that allows them to drive fleet vehicles and a full clean driving licence is necessary.
