About us
Camden is building somewhere everyone can thrive, by making our borough the best place to live, work, study and visit. Because, we’re not just home to the UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. This is an exciting time to join Camden as a Community Presence Officer.
The role
We are looking for an energetic and diligent Community Presence Officer to be a part of the Camden Councils community safety and emergency division. The role will involve delivering uniformed, visible community based patrol interventions that reduce risk and reassure communities. You will be creative as you will design and deliver integrated responses to problems in high risk areas. As well as this, you will be responsible for sharing information and promoting principles with all stakeholders, especially elected members.
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check
About You
You will be a great communicator and be confident in speaking to multiple high level stakeholders, including: Cabinet members, Ward Councillors, agencies, the Board, as well as local and central government departments. You will be able to influence and engage in a variety of different ways, due to having to communicate with a variety of key stakeholders.
You will be an active and self-motivated individual as you will lead and coordinate operations within the public realm settings utilising Neighbourhood Police, Street Presence, CCTV, and other Community Safety resources.
