We're entering an exciting chapter for the activation and management of our paid digital campaigns. Our Digital One Team is a multi-disciplined team of 40 digital experts, this unique way of working brings together Client, Media Agency Zenith and strong technical expertise to deliver best in class Digital Marketing for Lloyds Banking Group.

As Digital Marketing Tagging Manager, you'll be responsible for deploying technical solutions to ensure accurate, consistent data collection and governance for Lloyds Bank retail websites. You'll play a key role within the Digital Marketing team managing tagging and data collection capabilities to help deliver personalised experiences to customers and prospects. As the SME within Lloyds, the role will involve engagement with other internal analytics teams and external partners such as our media agency and technology partners.

This role provides an opportunity to work with leading technologies in advertising, rich datasets and advance techniques to help marketing colleagues get the best out of digital marketing.

Location and Ways of Working

Our team works out of our London and Chester hubs therefore we'll need you to be based a commutable distance from one of these areas. We work in a hybrid model, splitting our time between the office and working from home.

Some of the activities you'll be involved in are:

  • Work with our Content and Analytics Lab and Mobile dev teams with managing and implementing technical solutions on Lloyds Banking Group brand websites and mobile app(s)

  • Build solutions for analytics implementations on new frameworks, new architectures and new technologies as these opportunities arise. Including but not limited to analytics and marketing/advertising tagging, developing tagging guides, custom code needed to support tags, ETL (extract transform and load) processes and QA testing

  • Monitor and support tag deployments within the Tag Management System (TMS)

  • Ensure data capture is consistent and accurate

  • Test, validate and troubleshoot tagging and tracking issues as they occur - presenting status/next steps until resolution with all relevant partners

  • Take ownership of the existing tag management process, and contribute to continuous improvement

  • Identify and detail best practices to be followed in the tag management process

  • Build and maintain technical tagging documentation of Google Analytics 360/GA4 and other tagging implementations that are supported by the team.

  • Maintain administration, tag governance and compliance of standard process guidelines for platform integrations and consistent dataflow of Marketing tags

Skills and experience we're looking for:

Essential:

  • Min. 1-2 years working with a tag management system (TMS)

  • Min. 1-2 years implementing web and mobile analytics tools within a TMS or hardcoded

  • Ability to review existing tagging and implement new tags based on requirements

  • Strong understanding of client-side tracking methods i.e. front-end collection and governance and how that data is then used downstream to influence strategy and decision-making.

  • Savvy with respect to technical concepts and workflows digital analytics, such as debugging tools (ie HTTPWatch, Fiddler, Ghostery, Google Tag Assistant, Charles of Firebug), APIs, first v third party data and data encryption

  • Comfortable working in a corporate environment, someone who has a growth mindset

  • Ability to read, write, optimise and audit JavaScript, JSON and HTML code

Desirable:

  • Held a role as a web analyst for a minimum 12 months

  • Knowledge of tag management tools, ideally Tealium IQ, Adobe Launch and Goggle Tag Manager

  • Knowledge of in-app tracking tools such as Firebase, Appsflyer

  • Knowledge of tag governance tools such as ObservePoint

  • Working knowledge of jQuery and CSS

  • Experience of working with single page applications (SPA)

  • Understanding of the role of tracking technologies and how it underpins behavioural tracking and targeting

  • Awareness of ATT, GDPR, PECR regulations and how consent is handled

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing (paid, In-App and on-site)

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodology
