Our Corporate and Public Sector fleet size c.140k with over 1000 customers with fleets of 20+ vehicles. Building our business around sector specialism we segment customers based on their propositional needs. This insight and approach helps Lex Autolease deliver market leading solutions.

We now have an exciting opportunity to lead the New Business team as part of the Lex Corporate Leadership Team during a time of unprecedented market change and robust customer demand to decarbonise their fleet operations.

As Corporate Sales Senior Manager you'll lead, motivate and develop a team of 15 colleagues to achieve a range of key performance targets, including new vehicle orders. You'll drive the team to develop tailored solutions that differentiate Lex from our competitors and enable achievement of our new business objectives.

Our ideal candidate will bring expertise in B2B business development and, ideally, will bring automotive or leasing experience and a track record of success leading B2B teams providing complex solutions.

Location & Ways of Working

This role is offered on a "home based" workstyle with occasional travel required to collaborate with team members based across the UK and regular leadership team meetings in Cheadle. We'll need you to be based a commutable distance from Cheadle.

The use of virtual meetings is fully endorsed and you'll be fully empowered to manage their own diary in order to achieve the role's performance objectives.

Responsibilities and Activities you'll be involved in are:

  • Drive a business development and employee centric culture to ensure that every BDM has a prospect base that contains sufficient opportunities to deliver their growth objectives.

  • Mentor and coach the team with 121 coaching, deal structuring and pricing support to deliver new business plans and achieve increasing levels of colleague engagement.

  • Engage with the Lloyds Commercial Bank franchise to promote Lex's capabilities and achieve lead flow and pipeline objectives.

  • Recruit, retain and develop talent to lay strong foundations for future sustainable growth.

  • Lead efficient productivity and use of time on all RFP/tender opportunities.

  • Provide visibility of the team's ongoing performance through structured information and regular reviews with senior line management.

  • Role model a risk based approach to all new business opportunities with cognisance to Group appetites.

  • Proactively contribute to the wider senior management team by sharing standard processes.

Skills & Experience we're looking for:

  • Experience of successful leadership & coaching of B2B sales teams.

  • Comfort in negotiating at exec level with business sizes up to publicly listed companies..

  • Self-motivated, resilient & proactive, bringing a growth mindset to all that you do.

  • Strong communication and partner management skills, including the ability to challenge and influence senior leadership and relationship management teams to progress & convert complex B2B solutions.

  • Evidence of using tools such as Artesian and LinkedIn to help initiate new prospect dialogue.
