Your role

This is your opportunity to join Deloitte's Financial Services Applications (Retail and Commercial Banking) team as part of the Return to Work programme.

We adopt a business led approach to achieve technology enabled transformation. Our Insurance clients engage us to solve their most complex problems, helping them to shape and deliver a strategy in response to regulatory driven change and the new competitive landscape.

As part of this team, you'll work alongside a team of Banking and Securities specialists and will be able to quickly build upon your existing industry knowledge and consultancy skills to become an expert in your field. You will be expected to lead small teams and develop the talent of our community.

 In this role, you will:

  • Support the delivery of successful technology implementations and projects within one or more sectors across Retail, Commercial and Wholesale Banking
  • Lead project lifecycle work stream activities, including requirements gathering, process definition, development, data migration, end-to-end testing, business change and go-live
  • Build effective and collaborative working relationships with IT, operations and front/back office stakeholders to enable timely and quality deliverables
  • Demonstrate your ability to build effective networks and articulate the relevance of the new market proposition to FS clients, and support the growth of the new market offering
  • Support pre-sales, bid development and client sales presentations
  • Manage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

Location: London with occasional domestic travel.

Work pattern: Fixed-term part-time: the programme runs for 25 weeks from 21 January 2019; participants will work 80% (or 4 days a week) although we will always consider a full-time, 5-day contract if you prefer

Your professional experience

  • Proven work experience in the Retail, Commercial and/or Wholesale banking sectors
  • Functional or technical knowledge of a key banking function (for example, payments, lending, trade finance, regulatory reporting, credit risk)
  • Proven delivery experience, either in a technical delivery or project management function, within a banking environment. Experience could cover a number of areas including: business analysis, requirements gathering, process reengineering, solution architecture, package configuration, data migration, integration, infrastructure, testing and operational readiness
  • Proven track record in successful delivery of FS technologies from a business change and customer / colleague adoption perspective
  • Experience of Agile delivery methodologies would be an advantage
  • Functional or technical experience of a FS core application would be an advantage, e.g. from vendors such as Finastra or Temenos.
