Over the course of the programme, you’ll benefit from a comprehensive induction to the firm, technical skills training, coaching and on-the-job project and client experience.

To be eligible for the programme you will:

  • have taken a career break of two or more years
  • have five or more years’ experience within professional services or a relevant industry/sector, including a minimum of two years in a similar position to the role you wish to apply for
  • be available to work from 21 January 2019 for a period of 25 weeks.

Your role

This is your opportunity to join Deloitte Digital as part of the Return to Work programme. 

Our Digital Strategists are responsible for helping our clients set the vision for digital initiatives, operating in a strategic advisor capacity, and translating business objectives into actionable recommendations and requirements. Digital Advisors are subject matter experts and thought leaders on a wide range of digital disciplines - from mobile payments to social commerce. They are trusted by our client stakeholders and capable of creating and shaping digital solutions. They apply rigorous decision making disciplines and operate in a flexible and iterative way with the technical and creative resources that are central to digital innovation and execution.

As a Senior Consultant or Manager within Deloitte Digital, you'll be providing our clients with expert advice on digital change, helping them to exploit web, mobile and social media to strengthen their brand and grow their business.

Responsibilities

  • Taking the lead on workstreams within projects, solving some of the most exciting problems for our clients
  • Providing quality assurance and independent advice to our clients on their digital transformation programmes, engaging with senior client stakeholders on both strategy and technology
  • Leading multiple teams to deliver projects within budget and to time
  • Delivering the full engagement cycle, from pre-sales to delivery and closure
  • Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

Location: Based in our airy and bustling offices in Clerkenwell, London, with its legendary coffee machine and model train track, you’ll also have a chance to work with clients throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.

Work pattern: Fixed-term part-time: the programme runs for 25 weeks from 21 January 2019; participants will work 80% (or 4 days a week) although we will always consider a full-time, 5-day contract if you prefer.

Your professional experience

Overall, you’re an ideas person and problem solver as well as a hands-on doer – that’s important. You’ll have a passion for digital, keen business instincts and an eye for emerging trends and behaviours.

Your experience will include:

  • Broad knowledge of trends across digital mediums (Web, Mobile, Social, Search, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of across key digital disciplines (e.g., Channel Strategy, Mobile, Digital Marketing, etc)
  • Leadership experience of working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Developing digital transformation programmes, business cases and/or roadmaps
  • Working on digital delivery projects such as a business analyst, user researcher, CX/UX designer or developer
  • Working in a project-based environment, liaising with customers throughout the entire solution delivery lifecycle
  • Managing complex situations where stakeholders do not always agree about methods, choices and strategic direction  
  • Achieving a balance of logical problem solving and innovative thinking
  • An ability to break down technical requirements and explain them in simplified and business focused manner
  • Knowledge of the Scrum (Agile) software solution development process.
