To be eligible for the programme you will:

  • have taken a career break of two or more years
  • have five or more years’ experience within professional services or a relevant industry/sector, including a minimum of two years in a similar position to the role you wish to apply for
  • be available to work from 21 January 2019 for a period of 25 weeks.

Your role

This is your opportunity to join Deloitte Digital as part of the Return to Work programme. 

Architects are responsible for the delivery of complex design solutions, enabling digital transformation and integration with market leading packages for our clients. The successful candidates will have profound experience in solution architecture working between internal and external clients and teams to deliver a successful integration projects including eCRM, Ecommerce, Retail platform design, customer experience platforms and CRM platform delivery.  Proven and deep experience in this field is essential to secure one of these fantastic opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Educates and advises the client and internal teams on the pros and cons of various design and implementation options, running platform selection processes and building business cases
  • Transforms complex business requirements into candidate system architectures which also meet security and high availability requirements
  • Designs system architectures, securing approval from internal and external stakeholders ensuring alignment with the overall solution architecture
  • Leads teams in the design and build of internal, customer and prospect sites ensuring best practices in design, usability, SEO and UI are incorporated
  • Liaises between client, management and suppliers gaining trust with clear and consistent communication
  • Defines design and development standards adapted to the project context
  • Manages diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Location: Based in our airy and bustling offices in Clerkenwell, London, with its legendary coffee machine and model train track, you’ll also have a chance to work with clients throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.

Work pattern: Fixed-term part-time: the programme runs for 25 weeks from 21 January 2019; participants will work 80% (or 4 days a week) although we will always consider a full-time, 5-day contract if you prefer.

Your professional experience

  • Previous Architecture or Technical Team Lead experience on major digital transformation projects either at a Consultancy or End User/Retailer, across either eCommerce, CRM and customer experience
  • Delivery of at least one multi-solution transformation solution, through to deployment and go-live, preferably in an agile development team
  • Deep knowledge of eCommerce, online retail customer experience, CRM or eCRM solutions
  • Design and implementation of Java-based eCommerce platforms ideally ATG Commerce, Hybris or other customer experience platforms such as Adobe or Salesforce
  • Design and implementation of market leading packages in the following functional areas:
    • Commerce (Oracle ATG, hybris, IBM WebSphere Commerce Server or similar)
    • Customer experience (Adobe etc.)
    • CRM (Salesforce etc.)
  • Knowledge of architecture methods and standards (e.g. UML, TOGAF)
  • Knowledge of good practice around usability, maintainability and accessibility

Additional desirable experience includes:

  • Experience of design and implementation of market leading packages in the following functional areas would be an advantage: 
    • Search & merchandising (Oracle Endeca, Fredhopper or similar)
    • Content management (Adobe CQ, OpenText ECM, Oracle WebCenter or similar)
    • Order management (IBM Sterling Order Management, Manhattan Order Lifecycle Management or similar)
    • Product information management (hybris, Heiler, Stibo or similar)
    • Digital asset management (Adobe CQ, OpentText Media Management, Oracle WebCenter or similar)
