Global Market Access Director, II and FP, Open to flexibility

Ensures that the evidence needs of global payers are reflected in clinical development, and that all assumptions relating to price and access are insight driven and appropriately reflected in commercial forecasts. Develops and oversees the execution of the global market access plan for launch assets.

Responsibilities are built around three key areas:

Evidence generation to support value demonstration

  • In partnership with Global marketing directors and clinical matrix teams, develop and translate payer insights, obtained through internal (LOC) and external customer engagement, into meaningful evidence generation plans that support a strong reimbursement file and price achievement
  • Participate in integrated evidence teams, to ensure that payers evidence needs, and the asset value proposition, are being supported by the clinical program

Pricing: Strategy, Implementation and Management

  • Provide price, reimbursement and access inputs into global forecasts for pipeline, for business development due diligence, and for portfolio strategy
  • Be the driver of 'price getting' activities including launch sequencing, target price achievement, and net price management for launch and in-market medicines
  • Partner with MCL and GMD to define value-anchored price setting strategies, including net price strategy, for different payer archetypes at launch and through the medicine life cycle

Payer account segmentation and access resource development

  • Work with access and commercial partners in priority LoC's to identify and agree the key accounts (national and regional payer groups, MCOs, commercial insurers, sickness funds, commissioning bodies, etc) and the access solutions (evidence based solutions, pricing solutions, service based solutions) that maximise patient access to our medicines
  • Partner with access and commercial leads in the priority markets to proactively identify the access related challenges of national and regional payer groups, which have the potential to limit uptake of GSKs launch assets
  • Partner with Value and Evidence Outcomes (VEO), to develop and disseminate market access resources, which communicate compelling value messages in line with payer value proposition(s)
  • Partner with Medicines Commercialization Leaders (MCLs) and Global Marketing Directors (GMDs) to identify access and pricing based solutions that maximise access opportunities
