Regional Category Manager, Production Supplies & EHS, Open to flexibility

Following recent changes to the GSK Procurement Department we have a newly created opportunity for a Regional Category Manager to be responsible for Production Supplies & Environmental Health & Safety (EHS).

In this role you will lead the creation, execution and management of comprehensive integrated sourcing strategies for the Rest of the World (outside of the Europe and North America regions).

Your key duties will include

  • Responsible for supporting global Production Supplies and EHS spend of <£50m million annually across the GSK network, but specifically accountable for the spend outside of North America and Europe.
  • Execute and lead contract performance and governance.
  • Accountable for developing and implementing regional sourcing strategies in-line with global category guidance.
  • Support the implementation of critical contracts and the review of annual spend.
  • Engagement with stakeholders - working collaboratively with EHS, site and central engineering, and all Supply Chain stakeholders (Rx, Cx & Vx), and the R&D teams to drive buying strategies.
  • Coordinate with Site Procurement teams and the Shared Service Hub as defined by the Operating Model.
  • Support Value Engineering and Savings Programmes.
  • Manage negotiations with strategic suppliers across the category.
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.

Why You?

Basic qualifications:

  • University Degree within appropriate subject (eg. Business Administration/Finance/Marketing)
  • Relevant Procurement experience.
  • Experience working in global or multi-regional Pharmaceutical, Consumer Healthcare or FMCG environment.
  • Proven negotiations and contract management skills.
  • English proficiency (written and oral)
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management/ influencing and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree within appropriate subject (eg. Business Administration/Finance/Marketing)
  • Fluency in another language
