In order to manage the delivery of spend optimisation and maintain return of investment across Advertising & Promotions (A&P) we have a vacancy for a Global Category Manager within the Marketing Procurement team.

This job will challenge you to provide sophisticated commercial insights and solutions to varied, highly complex markets based on data sets which can vary dramatically.

It is a critical position within marketing procurement ensuring that the planned contractual value is delivered across Advertising & Promotions. You will develop meaningful analysis and influence key stakeholders to re-direct the different advertising and promotions spend to ultimately drive P&L performance.

Your Key Duties in the Role

  • Manage £1.4b of Advertising & Promotions investments
  • Create and embed necessary tools and processes to continually monitor Advertising & Promotions investments
  • Pro-actively identify global to local efficiency opportunities within Advertising & Promotions
  • Provide actionable insights in order to influence senior management both globally and locally to deliver Advertising & Promotions opportunities
  • Maintain cost ownership of Advertising & Promotions for Zero Base Budgeting, ensuring ZBB guidance and associated efficiencies are delivered
  • Collaborate with category directors to maximise contractual value delivery through the development and implementation of robust reporting architecture
  • Support continual improvement by providing commercial guidance to category leads
  • Manage agency performance (regarding optimising Advertising & Promotions ROI) through the development of ROI optimisation dashboards globally

Why You?

Basic qualifications:

  • University Degree within Business/Finance/Marketing or other related subject
  • Experience within marketing or professional services procurement
  • Proven negotiations and contract management skills.
  • English proficiency (written and oral), other language will be a plus
  • Leadership/communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • Qualified to Masters Degree within Business/Finance/Marketing or other related subject
  • Experience within Marketing procurement, ideally within Advertising & Promotions
