Operations Manager - Application Access, Open to flexibility

IT Cyber Security provides Lloyds Banking Group with a secure operating environment, safe from malicious attack or abuse of privilege by applying controls on behalf of Data Owners and promoting the secure use of IT across the Group. Unprecedented growth and development of new capability is seeing the expansion of the Identity and Access Management area to provide a secure platform focused on service excellence, and relentless automation, around the provision and management of Identity. This expanding remit will provide a diverse career path with opportunities to grow individual skills and gain experience across a number of key service areas and technologies. As major investment delivers new or changing services and tools roles in this area will adjust and reshape over time and we are looking for individuals who embrace this culture of continual evolution and who can help us on our journey towards automated service excellence. Challenging the existing processes and ways of working, with a view to eliminating waste and improving the customer experience will be the norm, and will be actively encouraged at all levels.

The role will include managing a team of subject matter experts to provide 3rd level support, define standards and overall direction for the application of identity and access management, and operate LBG's key Application Access controls to protect LBG's customers

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to gain valuable experience of operational activities as well as Information Security best practice.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Significant experience in delivering operational services.
  • Proven experience in the use and deployment of at least one of the following scripting languages - Microsoft SQL, Windows Command Prompt, and PowerShell (essential)
  • Experience in robotics toolsets such as blue prism (desirable)
  • Extensive knowledge of a wide range of bespoke applications and ability to drive optimisation and automation in line with strategy (Essential)
  • Knowledge of Identity & Access Management processes, including adherence to Security policies and procedures (essential)
  • Risk Management. Capability to identify technical risks, articulate the associated IT costs and business impacts, and propose options for resolution through to mitigation.
  • In depth knowledge of multiple IT technologies across Commercial Banking, Insurance, Digital, Global Payments, Consumer Finance, Group Operations or HR and act as a point of escalation for each
  • Performance management and good understanding of HR processes and procedures required
  • Consistently demonstrates excellent values and behaviours
  • Ability to operate and influence in a complex and diverse stakeholder environment
  • Ability to drive organisational change efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to lead despite high levels of ambiguity
  • Diagnostic skills and an ability to analyse technical information from multiple sources, allowing the provision of highly effective solutions in sensitive situations.
