Proposition Development Manager, Workplace Pensions, Open to flexibility

Through our brands, Lloyds Banking Group has a relationship with just about every household and community in the UK. We underpin the lives of millions of individuals and businesses, and play a key role in helping to create a thriving UK economy. Our Insurance and Wealth teams have an integral part to play, helping our customers handle their financial future and supporting them through their life. We have a strong heritage, helping approximately six million customers every day with their diverse and critical needs including life insurance, pensions, investments and general insurance (home, car, travel).

Our Vision for our Workplace savings business is to help support our customers to have their best retirement. We're passionate about our customer and ensuring they have great outcomes. We want them to recognise the Scottish Widows brand and our people, tools, education and guidance as being the reason that no matter which job they are in they will always want to consolidate their pensions back with us. We aim to support employers by offering the savings solutions they want for their employees and providing ways of working with us that makes their life easier. As a result we have recently invested £50m in our customer journeys.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Proposition Development Manager (Workplace Pensions), to join our Financial Planning & Retirement team. Our Workplace savings business was recently awarded Company of the Year by the Financial Advisor Awards in 2017.

You'll be part of a small team instrumental in delivering a completely new customer experience to our 2 million Workplace customers. We'll allocate you clear areas of accountability and you'll have the opportunity to define and drive the delivery of core elements of the Workplace proposition in line with our medium term business strategy.

It's essential that you possess relevant, and recent experience of product development in the Financial Service market, and even better if you have Workplace Pensions experience and/or experience of Agile delivery methodology.

Alongside your Senior Manager, you'll have responsibility for the take to market strategy, working across a number of teams in the Group, including, but not limited to Finance, Marketing, IT and HR. We'll therefore need you to evidence strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Your role will involve taking personal responsibility for relationships with our business partners, so you'll need to engage, build and manage relationships both internally and externally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Influencing the prioritisation of new customer features to maximise the value delivered to our customers and the business.
  • Supporting the delivery of the combined proposition working with a variety of other stakeholders with a clear vision of what we're looking to achieve.
  • Working with our Policy team on defining the public relations and thought leadership approach.
  • Work with our business colleagues on our communication strategy across our advisors, employers and customers
  • Providing regular program updates on our progress with key milestones, handling any risks that we encounter.
  • Ensuring all appropriate feedback mechanisms are in place with other areas of the organisation.
  • Supporting the project team in leading our implementation, within budget
  • Ensuring continuous improvement in all proposition development activities.
