Assistant Research Studio Manager, Open to flexibility

You might not know that Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) is the UK's leading digital bank and its biggest mobile bank - with over 13 million active online customers.

And with over 30m customers we're looking to harness the data we hold to ensure we become the best Bank for customers through our products and services.

We're now embarking on a three year, £3bn, transformation programme - putting unprecedented levels of investment into our platforms, people and data capabilities to build the bank of the future.

Could you have a key role to play in it?

Here's where you'll make a difference:

To support the Group's Transformation programmes we've built an internal Qualitative research capability, high-spec Studios in multiple locations across the country that are available to support and inform all teams and brands across the business to ensure we're creating and developing the best experiences for our customers. Our services are in high demand across the business, working on numerous programmes and projects to conduct vital end-to-end research and customer testing across our mobile, tablet and desktop inventory. Our programme of work includes in-Studio testing in our purpose built Studio facilities in London, Halifax and Edinburgh on desktop and mobile environments and also includes capability testing in-branch, ethnography and looking at wider touch points of the end-to-end Customer journey.

You'll manage our facilities, the participant recruitment process, GDPR. the technology and its overarching customer experience. It will be a real challenge, requiring robust processes, procedures to be established and embedded.

You'll focus on driving engagement for the London Research studio and delivering quality participants to its doors. There is also a challenge to not only keep our capabilities state of the art, but also to upgrade our existing London, Halifax and Edinburgh facilities in order to meet changing Value stream demand - integrating new testing technologies into it.
You'd be managing projects related to the Studio facilities and technology throughout the whole of Group Transformation. You'd also coordinate Studio studies and participant recruitment - ensuring we're on track with the calendar for testing you'll help to produce. You'll also help to identify third parties to maintain the technology, managing that supplier relationship.

Furthermore you will need to drive continued improvements including expanding the remit of the Studios to include developing further mobile and remote testing capabilities which you'd need to be able to help specify and support.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Project managing multiple research studies and co-ordinating them with each Project lead to ensure that their studies are set up correctly and all needs are met.
  • Maintaining the physical spaces to ensure they are always ready for conducting research
  • Supporting Customers, stakeholders and third parties in carrying out their day-to-day activities in the Research facilities
  • Supporting the daily needs of the research teams through facilities and IT support
  • Ensuring the equipment is always in a ready state for research to be conducted
  • Supporting researchers, stakeholders and external research vendors on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensuring Customers are comfortable and looked after when they participate in research activities
  • Helping to promote Design Research capabilities across the business
