Brands & Marketing Senior Manager, Open to flexibility

At Lloyds Banking Group, our Group Brands & Marketing team (GB&M) is responsible for managing our portfolio of market leading brands. Collectively, we manage all marketing activities for these brands, across the whole Group, in one place, helping to make sure each brand has its own, distinct personality and presence in the market.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Customer Strategy team within Group Brands and Marketing. The team are currently leading the development and delivery of our Customer Segmentation Strategy, which is one of the Group's strategic priorities from our latest Group Strategic Review, known as GSR3.

The Customer Strategy team's purpose is to ensure brand and customer are central to the strategic direction and decision-making of the Group.

We are now looking for a driven and dynamic strategist with strong analytical, problem solving and influencing skills. Working with stakeholders from across the business, you will use customer and market insight to create winning strategies that drive our brands, propositions and experiences for key customer segments.

You will be a brilliant strategic thinker, capable of coping with ambiguity and able to express your point of view, ideas and solutions clearly and convincingly to stakeholders.

As Senior Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Identifying the external trends impacting the relationships between our customers and our brands
  • Developing strategic direction for GB&M to exploit opportunities, mitigate threats and guide future planning and operational decision-making
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders across GB&M and the wider business to translate customer and brand strategies into better customer experiences and outcomes
  • Providing transformational momentum and direction for all group-wide strategic programmes which affect customers and brands

An ability to seek out, interpret and apply customer, market, competitor and business insights will be central to the role. In addition, you will need to be able to build influential relationships with our business stakeholders to drive customer centric and innovative thinking to our strategies and plans. You will also need to be highly organised and know what it takes to get things done in a large and highly matrixed organisation.

Experience of customer segmentation and / or brand strategy are essential to this role. Some strategic consultancy or in house strategy team experience and creating papers for senior stakeholder audiences is also highly desirable as is experience of building brand and customer strategies and plans.
