Your opportunity

Implemented 2 years ago, marketing automation has become a central part of 368 (Deloitte’s In-house Agency), from design and development of firm’s email strategy to measuring client engagement to enhance and support the relationships our business has with our clients. 
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Manager to take on leading the Marketing engagement team as a 12 month maternity cover placement. 

This role will be responsible for: 

  • Leading a team of 8 marketing automation specialists (across London, Edinburgh and Hyderabad) in delivering the firm’s strategically aligned marketing campaigns.
  • Building on, and delivering, on the offerings strategic objectives, prioritisation as well as managing budgets associated with these. 
  • Partnering with the business and 368 Strategy team to develop increasingly effective client engagement approaches.

Your role

 

  • Develop a quick understanding of the business structure and priorities, acknowledging future changes.
  • Combine knowledge of the business with in-depth understanding of marketing automation techniques to support enhanced stakeholder relationships and drive innovative approaches in delivering email marketing campaigns. 
  • Proactively (and continuously) improve the quality of the direct marketing, embedding best practices that reflect the ever-changing digital landscape and client expectations. 
  • Collaborate closely with the Strategy team to understand different client journeys and the data required for us to automate communications based on data-derived insight, planning and modelling. 
  • Keep up-to-date with Marketo functionalities and best practices for using new features 
  • Line manage two of the more senior members of the Marketing Engagement team. 
  • Be ultimately responsible in leading the Marketing Engagement team (4 in the UK, 4 in Hyderabad), ensuring the team deliver. 
  • The senior manager will report to the Strategy Director.

Your professional experience

 

  • Credible in their understanding of the broader marketing mix, and have subject matter expertise in marketing automation (specifically Marketo).
  • A proactive, progressive and analytical mindset
  • Demonstrate clear leadership skills, and ability to create an inclusive culture where people are recognised for their contribution, and proven line management / team development experience. 
  • Demonstration of ability to plan, build, deploy and measure campaigns and programs. 
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders as well as having the ability to influence amongst peers as well as more senior leadership. 
  • Excellent writing and communication skills. 
  • A strong understanding and experience of implementing and maturing marketing automation platforms – Marketo in particular
  • Ability to package and frame how the Marketing Engagement offering is positioned, represent the Agency and the Strategy offering across C&I and the firm.
