Business Change Accountant - 18M FTC, Open to flexibility

This exciting opportunity sits within the New Business Integration Team which is responsible for managing the financial impact of any M&A, divestment, supply chain change or manufacturing change driven projects within Supply Chain Accounting.

The New Business Integration team supports changes and integrations of new business into existing GSK Supply Chain Network and divestments of our product portfolios on behalf of Supply Chain Finance. They ensure successful implementation of financial trade routes to support the trading partner back to back billing and accurate InterCompany profit tracking.

They also cover E2E Trading Partners financial aspects of Supply Chain through collaborative working and strive for excellence in each of the service areas.

Your Key Responsibilities will be -

  • Lead cross functional teams in the management of Network change and other change initiatives which affect business of the GSK Trading Partners to ensure successful implementation.
  • Prepare detailed scoping documents relative to trading partners for business changes and ensure that key cross functional stakeholders are kept informed of changes.
  • Prepare detailed impact assessments to ensure all risks including ability to meet financial reporting requirements and timelines and also maintaining automation of business are managed and controlled.
  • Work with GSK Trade Route Team to ensure a co-ordinated approach to all changes is managed across TPO
  • Develop plans to implement these changes and work with teams in Trading Partner Finance and Invoicing operations to successfully build these plans into the operational teams
  • Act as alternate contact to Manager, Business Change and Contracts where required for GSK Contract Manufacturing and Procurement departments and other departments within GSK responsible for Business Change Initiatives
  • Responsible for successful delivery throughout each stage of project lifecycle
  • Responsible for contracts which relate to these Business Change Initiatives - ensuring they are negotiated to include the terms required by Supply Chain Accounting to enable successful delivery of the project
  • Assist in the development of financial processes to support new business requirements arising from on-going business developments.
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely & efficient manner
  • Responsible for ensuring customers requirements are understood and met consistently and deal with VOC issues.

Basic qualifications:

  • Degree in Business/Finance subject area or Part Qualified Accountant
  • In depth understanding of financial processes and governance
  • You will require demonstrable Project Management & good communication skills in order to deal the volume and complexity of projects.
  • You will have knowledge of dealing with all technical finance aspects of business change initiatives including deal with Goodwill, Intangibles, SB14, Foreign currency issues, Tolling, Tax issues (including VAT , Withholding tax, permanent establishment etc)
  • You will have financial process management experience as you will be required to action contract reviews and development of compliant operating models in the absence of standard solutions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant
