Group Public Affairs Manager, Open to flexibility

Lloyds Banking Group is a leading UK based financial services group providing a wide range of banking and financial services, focused on personal and commercial customers. The Group's main business activities are retail, commercial and corporate banking, general insurance and life, pensions and investment provision. Our purpose is to help Britain prosper, and we thrive based on how well we serve our customers.

Be it home ownership, pensions reform or providing finance to SMEs, most of our services are influenced by political and public policy developments that are constantly evolving. It's our Group Public Affairs team that plays the central role in working with policy-makers to explain our point of view and to achieve a more conducive business environment - one in which we can strive to be the best financial services provider for our customers.

In joining our team, you'll become a key player in our work with parliament, government, civil servants, regulators, trade associations, think tanks and other external stakeholders. You'll work on public policy issues across the Group's businesses and brands, developing our positions and engagement strategy while enhancing understanding of what policy-makers think and care about.

We are looking to recruit a candidate with excellent working knowledge and practical experience of Whitehall and Westminster, preferably with an existing knowledge of and exposure to financial services policy and general business policy issues.

You'll be adept at assessing the business impact of public policy developments and at identifying, mitigating and escalating risks to protect and enhance the reputation and interests of the Group, showing the flexibility to adapt immediately to change while keeping our customers at the heart of everything you do. You'll have the ability to deliver counsel to senior leaders, both within and beyond the Group, in a manner which is compelling and authoritative.

So if being part of our team in this interesting and important arena appeals and you have the skills and experience we're looking for, we would really like to hear from you.

As a new colleague, you'll join us on our journey to build a 21st century bank that reflects modern Britain, and craft an inclusive culture where all colleagues feel welcomed and valued.

Together we make it possible.
