Our Credit Operations Function plays a meaningful role in delivering Lloyds Banking Group's strategy to become the best bank for customers, by dedicatedly working with customers who are experiencing financial difficulty. We build relationships to help them clear arrears, or develop manageable payment solutions tailored to their circumstances and affordability.

As a Senior Manager, you will support and engage with a large operational team to continually improve customer outcomes, deliver on conduct and prudential risk appetite for the group and manage effectiveness, efficiency and costs.

You will take ownership to lead and inspire your team to achieve operational excellence whilst being the focal point to optimise the end to end customer journey through seeking and delivering opportunities for improvement.

You will be responsible for the monitoring and management of the conduct, operational and prudential risks for the operational teams and, as the deputy for the Head of Performance, will build effective relationships with senior stakeholders across Credit Operations, the wider group and our strategic suppliers.

You'll ensure the effective motivation, coaching and development of all team members to deliver business objectives, enabling colleagues to acquire the specialist skills needed to perform their role whilst demonstrating and embedding LBG Group Values.

Personally embody the LBG culture and vision through ownership of a culture of continuous conduct improvement in order to meet the agreed conduct risk appetite & outcome testing targets whilst delivering a market leading customer service.

Manage an efficient and effective operation that delivers on cost budgets but does not compromise on customer outcomes. Co-ordinating available resources and monitor workflow to ensure that the daily workload is consistently completed in line with agreed service standards.

Assist in the development and implementation of short, medium, and long term operational plans, taking into account the wider business and regulatory context, anticipating seasonal, economic or product change demand shifts and defining the resources required to ensure the continued satisfaction of customer outcomes.

Check to ensure that the work undertaken adheres to all specified Bank processes, procedures, policies, standards and relevant external/regulatory requirements.

Deliver proactive and effective support for all customers, including those who may be vulnerable or experiencing severe financial difficulties always promoting and utilising external sources of support and advice. Where further action or enforcement is necessary ensure that this is always the last resort and is managed in a sensitive manner with customers fully informed of consequences and options throughout.

Takes ownership for identifying policy, strategy or process improvements outside of Credit Operations to support customers in financial difficulties.

Develop, maintain and improve effective workings relationships with other business units, internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers, providing input to discussion and decisions on a wide range of issues. Ensuring that appropriate support and feedback is provided to the Head of function to support their decision making capabilities on wider strategic initiatives and interactions with the Executive committees.

Interpret external market developments, statutory regulations and internal Group requirements, ensuring effective business performance interventions are developed to meet these needs and to contribute to the achievement of Credit Operations.

Develop, maintain and improve effective workings relationships with other business divisions and internal partners, providing input to discussion and decisions on a wide range of issues. Ensuring that appropriate support and feedback is provided to the Head of Function to support their decision-making capabilities on wider strategic initiatives and interactions with the Executive committees.

Finally, you'll actively build and maintain you're own professional networks to ensure a robust understanding of industry best practice, external benchmarks and developing market risks.
