Directorate Assistant, Part time 14 hours/wk

We are looking for a part-time Directorate Assistant (14 hours per week) to provide administrative support to a variety of teams within External Affairs.

The role

You will work closely with another Directorate Assistant to provide a high standard of administrative support to the varying teams within External Affairs (including external, internal and digital communications, public affairs, events management, corporate complaints, governance and equality, diversity and inclusion).

You will act as a project officer on key projects, support the organisation of schedules for team meetings, directorate events and away days and prepare the agenda and minutes for meetings. You will prepare presentation materials, basic reports and documents, track the financial spend of the directorate and keep electronic records up-to-date. You will also provide support at some of our events and conferences.

To be successful in this role you will need to be highly organised and use your initiative where required. You will be confident in dealing with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels whilst appreciating the broader implications of decisions, you will act with tact and discretion always.
