Our client is a consultancy based in Reading. They are seeking an Operations Manager on a part time basis to join the team.

This is a new role that will work across the three divisions of the business and will have responsibility for the successful delivery of key business process. 
Key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Managing the PMA and VFM programmes, achieving KPIs and budget targets
  • Business development of the PMA and VFM programmes
  • Managing and co-ordinating the teams of associate consultants, recruiting to ensure the right resources are in place to deliver services
  • Co-ordinating consultancy activity
  • Control of key company processes: identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement
  • Developing and executing IT strategy, to take advantage of advances in technology
  • Establishing and sustaining excellent relationships with clients

Skills, experience and knowledge :

  • A professional qualification or degree 
  • Experience of operations management (planning and implementation) in a services orientated organisation
  • Strong analytical and good communication skills
  • Good IT and systems knowledge, including of the Microsoft office suite
  • Experience of managing a team to deliver outstanding results
  • Private and public sector procurement knowledge beneficial, but not essential
  • Exceptional process management and process improvement skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy
  • High level of drive and initiative
  • Ability to work effectively in teams to tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to engage with a diverse range of clients
  • An understanding of the higher education sector

Flexbility – 4 days a week (some home working available)

Salary – Circa £50K FTE
