Within Business Consulting, our Operations Advisory team lead and support businesses through the change process. We are a team with deep industry experience, change management heritage and practical operations expertise, who work collaboratively with our clients to achieve world-class sustainable operations. We are seeking an experienced consultant with strong commercial strategy experience, who has a deep understanding of how the operations strategy impacts the commercial strategy.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead assignments incorporating both commercial strategic and operational consultancy services to clients operating within manufacturing and supply chain sectors. This will involve leading end-to-end engagements, incorporating risk management, budgeting and billing
  • Engagements are typically complex and may incorporate multiple jurisdictions and stakeholders, requiring the ability to understand and address challenging situations
  • Manage, lead and motivate multiple teams, providing guidance and oversight to assignment managers
  • Use your external network to develop new commercial opportunities for the firm, identify and develop further opportunities at clients and perform a key role in pitch teams
  • Develop and use internal networks to ensure all cross service line opportunities are optimised
  • Identify solutions to complex and challenging client needs within the following areas:
  • Strategy development
  • Operational optimisation
  • Change management
  • Operational due diligence in M&A
  • Working within wider BC team to identify cross function solutions to complex business problems
  • Develop methods and knowledge within the Operational Advisory team
  • With our team undertaking project across the global an understanding that significant travel will be needed
  • Translate macroeconomic opportunities to business strategy

Who we're looking for:

  • Experience of managing multiple teams and complex work-streams
  • Proven experience of operating at a senior level within the manufacturing sector or supply chain consulting space. Industries we have a particular focus on are automotive, metals and plastics
  • Strong external consulting experience
  • Project management and/or change management and/or transformation capabilities
  • Analytical and numerical approach to problem solving
  • Track record of formulating business plans for large corporates and private equity
  • With our team undertaking project across the global an understanding that significant travel will be needed
  • Strong Stakeholder management skills
  • Strong understanding of financial statements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
