Data Subject Matter Expert (Operational), Open to flexible working

You will support the business with day to day issues relating to specific global master data objects in the single instance ERP. As an SME you will also support data load verification processes for the material master data that they oversee.

  • You will support the collection of new master data as part of business as usual operations and enter data into SAP via MM transactions
  • Review myPSR requests and support the business in ensuring that the correct data is requested, rejecting the requests if necessary
  • You will be the first point of contact for business teams (e.g. core business services) concerning operational issue with master data.
  • You will engage with the process owners, functional consultants and the business data steward network to address issues with data quality (where appropriate).
  • You will undertake master data verification activities when allocated by the integration manager during data load processes.
  • Review and respond to general inquiries from Remedy, e-mail and direct communications from internal customers

Why You?

Basic qualifications:

  • A moderate level of competency in working in a data quality management environment
  • Experience with master data business projects
  • Experience of working with an ERP system (preferably SAP)
  • Excellent requirements gathering and management experience
  • Experience with data browser systems such as SE16, SE16N or equivalent
  • Have a resilient mindset and be willing to challenge process when required
  • Strong eye for detail with familiarity with checking master data requests
  • Basic exposure to SQL

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrable competency with in Data management or prior experience of delivering Data management capabilities in a multi-national organisation
  • Experience of working in a Shared Services organisation
  • Experience of working for a multi-national organisation
  • Experience communicating with varying levels of stakeholders
  • Familiarity with databases such as MS Access
