Hackney is looking for an enthusiastic, creative and diligent internal communications professional to take on a key role in its award-winning Communications, Culture and Engagement Service.
Reporting to the Internal Communications and Employee Engagement Manager, this post will lead on delivering the internal communications strategy, corporate communications and associated projects from multiple portfolios. This role will also be integral to delivering our staff engagement strategy and events.
The successful candidate will be able to think strategically, have first class writing skills and have a significant understanding of internal communications and staff engagement principles, stakeholder engagement and delivering effective, measurable campaigns.
Effective, joined-up working with other colleagues within the Communications, Culture and Engagement Service, and wider teams across Council, particularly regarding design, external issues management, HR, Organisational Development and digital will be essential.
Experience of working in local government communications is preferable, but not essential.
