You'll be joining Insurance Finance. We provide statutory and regulatory reporting to meet external requirements. We support the Insurance business to shape the financial strategy and implement quality systems and processes, to deliver strong returns on capital. We also maintain and enhance financial controls to help the business work cost effectively and efficiently.

As a Finance Manager within the Financial Reporting team, your focus will be on producing robust statutory reporting and financial analysis. You'll also work in partnership with other finance areas, to understand current trends and impacts and you'll provide data driven insight. This will ensure compliant reporting and support operational decision-making.
Your accountabilities will include:
- Month end close and associated reporting
- Production of key monthly and annual reports (statutory accounts and regulatory reporting)
- Operating and enhancing financial controls (including oversight of balance sheet reconciliations)
- Support and development of other team members
- Operating financial reporting systems and processes
- Supporting the delivery of small scale projects and continuous improvements
- Supporting strategic change projects
- Undertaking ad hoc analysis
As colleagues rotate over time, you'll gain experience of all key aspects that the Financial Reporting team undertake.
You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar), with well-developed statutory reporting skills. You're adept at producing complex sets of accounts, manipulating large amounts of data and providing relevant insight. You're deeply analytical, with a real eye for detail and accuracy. And you're accustomed to delivering to deadlines.
You'll relish the opportunity to build on your existing experience in this key role within our team. Alongside your technical expertise, your relationship building and management skills will be at the forefront of your contribution.
You have well-honed influencing and engagement skills and are able to communicate and influence at all levels. You'll use these skills to present to senior colleagues and be confident in responding to challenges and questions. You'll enjoy working independently, as well as contributing as part of a small team to achieve our goals.
