Senior Actuarial Analyst - 12 month Fixed-Term Contract

You'll be joining Insurance Finance. We provide statutory and regulatory reporting to meet external requirements. We support the Insurance business to shape the financial strategy and implement quality systems and processes, to deliver strong returns on capital. We also maintain and enhance financial controls to help the business work cost effectively and efficiently.
As a Senior Actuarial Analyst, you'll be providing technical support and assistance to the Life & Pensions business. Using your judgment, you'll either answer queries or escalate the more complex ones, as appropriate. At this level you'll be delivering small-scale projects, or well defined tasks within larger projects.
Your remit will include understanding change requirements, developing and testing spreadsheets and collaborating with stakeholders to implement change. And you'll recommend improvements where appropriate.
You'll establish and build relationships with both actuarial and non-actuarial colleagues, to identify business requirements and provide appropriate support and guidance in their delivery.
What can you bring to the role?
You'll be a part-qualified actuary, and will likely demonstrate your numerical capability through a Maths (or similar subject) degree. Your trainee actuary experience will have included exposure to the Life & Pensions sectors of UK Financial Services. And ideally you can evidence a well-developed commercial understanding of the Corporate Pensions market place.
You're deeply analytical, with a real eye for detail and accuracy. You're accustomed to delivering to deadlines and are adept at using Excel.
You'll relish the opportunity to build on your existing experience in this role, whilst continuing on your path to become a qualified actuary. Alongside your technical expertise, your ability to build effective relationships with others and communicate at all levels, will be at the forefront of your contribution.
You'll enjoy working with some degree of independence, as well as contributing as part the team, to achieve our goals.
