Communications Manager, part time - 30 hours per week
Come and join our fun and friendly team at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases (HTD), part of University College London Hospitals NHS Trust ( UCLH) as our new Communications Manager. We are passionate about delivering excellent care for patients with infections and tropical diseases and we need some help getting our message out there! We are looking for a motivated and innovative communications and marketing person to support our predominantly clinical team of doctors and nurses at the HTD.
The role is for 2 years fixed term with opportunities to extend. We would like someone with experience in communications strategy, but they do not need to have worked in the NHS before. We are looking for someone who is flexible and can work for around 30 hours a week.
We are looking for someone to help us improve access for people with, or at risk of, infectious and tropical conditions - by promoting the services our Hospital provides, sharing information about how our staff and others in the field are engaged in improving care, and educating trainees and wider professional groups to recognise patients needing specialist care.
You will work with the senior leadership team at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases and the Communications team at UCLH NHS trust to develop and deliver the HTD communications and stakeholder engagement strategy. This will include project management and delivery of events to showcase the work of the HTD, co-ordination of media relations, and social media promotion and development of internal communications.
