HR Director, part time, 4 days per week
We are looking for a pragmatic and efficient HR Director to provide the full range of HR services to our 20-strong team of bright and ambitious consultants. You will operate alongside the Partners, as part of the leader team, contributing to strategic and operational decision-making and you will be responsible for all aspects of HR.
Experience in a management consulting environment is a strong preference; you must be able to demonstrate an understanding of client engagements, day rates and utilisation/recovery rates etc and able to fully participate in candidate interviews, performance appraisals and coaching of consultants.
The HR function (policies, processes, contracts, documentation etc) has been set up by an ex-big 4 HR Director, is in good shape and runs efficiently. The role would therefore suit an entry-level Director, looking to move into their first Board level HR role, with plenty of relevant experience and an appetite to take the HR function to the next level (eg refreshing the competency framework, training strategy and induction programme and providing current thinking on benefits, flexible working etc)
An Operations Manager provides some HR Support (on administration of outsourced payroll, standard contracts, references, pension, benefits, holiday booking etc) but this role suits someone who wants to work, fairly autonomously, across the full breadth and depth of the HR function. You will be the “go to” person for all HR queries from training and induction to income tax and pension!
The role is for 4 days per week and must include a Friday.
You will attend leader team meetings (approx. 2 per quarter) and also the weekly scheduling meeting (on a Friday).
We believe this is a great opportunity to move into a Board level role, maintaining and developing experience across the full range of HR services.
