Chief Product Officer - Peterborough - Open to flexible working

We are looking for a CPO (Chief Product Officer) to join us here at Comparethemarket.com. This person must be a visionary and an avid evangelist of our product and deliver an exceptional customer experience, enabling customers to buy and re-buy with confidence. The role will help drive us to be a product lead organisation and is inclusive of our product vision, product strategy, product design and product development. This person will be a member of our CTM Executive team coupled with representing comparethemarket.com at a senior level with key partners, media and regulators.
This person will be working internally with senior management responsible for Product verticals: Mortgages, Money, Home Services (home, pet, broadband/mobile, energy), Life, Travel, Small Medium Enterprises (SME), Technical Product Management, Customer and User Experience.
As CPO, you will drive commercial value through leadership of the insurance and breadth product portfolio from concept to launch and commercialisation through autonomous squads united behind a common purpose. Ensure products are designed with seamless, digital customer journeys that supports our total value proposition – Keep Life Simples. Ensure that new and existing customers can access the very best range of products at the most competitive prices. Develop the strength and depth of commercial and customer focused resource capability, across the product function. Have leadership and line management responsibility of the product verticals and CX/UX team to consistently deliver in a way that enhances comparethemarket’s reputation.
What will it take?
This person will ideally have experience of operating at Executive Director level with accountability for leading product teams and taking a product from concept to commercial reality operating in a fast moving B2B and B2C environment. We want to see demonstrable experience of strategic business planning and capability building coupled with a thorough understanding of the customer and digital distribution channels. This person should have a strong Financial acumen, budget experience it would also be advantageous to have technical knowledge of Insurance products/Financial Services / General Insurance propositions and an Understanding of FCA regulatory framework.
This person will be low ego, commercially astute, think disruptively, be a great influencer with a customer focus always and like to have fun.
