This is an exciting opportunity to join the Economic Development team and play a critical role in shaping London’s future economic policy. You will oversee the development of London’s forthcoming Industrial Strategy, working across a complex landscape of stakeholders to shape the Mayor’s approach to inclusive productivity growth. As part of this, you will pioneer a fresh approach to policy development that will both support the growth of London’s knowledge economy and spread innovative practice across less productive sectors, addressing the under-representation of certain groups in innovative occupations.

You will be driven, passionate about both London’s future growth and the Mayor’s ambitions for this growth to be inclusive across the economy. You will bring new ideas, including a sound understanding of economic policy and of how the Mayor’s policy levers can be maximised to greatest affect. You will be a strategic thinker, with strong communication and influencing skills, proven problem-solving insight, and be adept at managing a multi-disciplinary and high performing team.
