Through a collaborative multi-agency four year partnership funded by Sport England, we want to use sport and physical activity (which includes active travel) to encourage and support people to be more physically active in Kings Park Ward in the south east of the borough, working specifically on the Clapton Park and Kingsmead Estates.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team who are tasked with delivering the Hackney project – Kings Park Moving Together (KPMT). The role will evolve as the project develops, and a high degree of flexibility will be required to adapt to rapidly shifting demands and priorities. We are therefore looking for a passionate and experienced Programme/Project Support Officer to provide a wide range of effective and proactive administrative support.
As the first point of contact for the project, the post will be a central part of the team and will support a busy and varied programme of work. The post holder will provide critical capacity including: supporting the development, design and delivery of specific projects; supporting the practical organisation of project activities such as organising workshops, supporting the development of programme management processes and managing the organisation and co-ordination of programme board meetings and operational steering groups, which will include preparing agendas and taking minutes.
The post holder will have highly developed communication skills, be able to work with minimum supervision and be able to prioritise tasks independently. The post holder must be able to liaise effectively and develop excellent working relationships with a wide range of partners, organisations and residents. This role is based in Clapton Park.
